INGREDIENTS
For 2 Burger
- 1 (125g) large onion, cut into thin rings
- 1.5 tablespoons oil
- 50g pasta (a small kind, e.g. macaroni)
- 100 ml vegetable based cream
- 50 g bedda Grated Gouda Style
- 1,5 tsp garlic powder
- 2 vegan burger patties
- 2 bedda Slices Grilled Cheese Style
- 2 burger buns
- 3 tbsp bedda Mayo or bedda Garlic Aioli
- 1 tbsp hot sauce/ sriracha
- Spices salt, pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
For the caramelized onions, heat oil in a large skillet and add onions. Sauté over low heat for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally until onions are soft and browned.
Meanwhile, prepare the pasta according to instructions. Then drain and set aside.
Add vegetable cream, bedda Grated Gouda Style, garlic powder and a pinch of salt and pepper to the pan. Cook together for 2-3 minutes until the Grated Gouda Style has melted and a thick sauce has formed. Add the drained pasta and mix well, then let cool slightly.
Prepare the burger patties according to instructions. Place one bedda Slice Grilled Cheese Style at a time on a patty for the last 3 minutes to melt slightly.
Slice burger buns open and spread with bedda Mayo/ Garlic Aioli and sriracha. Place the vegan burger patties with the melted vegan cheese sauce on the buns along with a large portion of the pasta and the caramelized onions.
